What to see in one day in Florence

Of course, one day is definitely not enough time to see everything that Florence has to offer, and you will probably have to skip museums. But you can still see quite a bit if you carefully plan your day. ๐Ÿ—“๐Ÿ“

Start at the Duomo. Waking up early is definitely worth it, so see the Florence Cathedral without the crowds. Buy the ticket to Giotto Tower in advance. The earliest time you can enter is 8:15 am. That's the one you want.

๐ŸฅGet breakfast at La Mรฉnagรจre. P.S. This cute cafe turns into a great cocktail spot at night.

I got Avocado toast with marinated salmon (14 euro)

Walk around the historic center and make sure to stop by Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and Basilica di Santa Croce di Firenze.

๐ŸšGet the best Risotto for lunch at Risotteria Menotti Firenze. We had Risotto with mixed mushrooms (15.50 euro) and Risotto with lemon and prawns (17 euro).

Make your way to the Ponte Vecchio and try not to spend too much time at the jewelry shops. From there, you can quickly walk to the Palazzo Pitti. Walk a bit along the river, and wander around the city until you find the pizza shop you like to pick up a pizza to go.

You will enjoy eating your dinner at Piazzale Michelangelo with some of the best views in the whole of Italy watching the sunset.
